Starting in Mombasa you’ll visit the four national parks closest to this unique coastal town and end your holiday at the beach.
The first two stops of your adventure will be the green hills of the Taita hills wildlife sanctuary and the community-led Lumo conservancy Here you’ll make your first wildlife encounters – from elephants and lions to zebras and giraffes. With big smiles you’ll then head to Tsavo National Park to discover all of its hidden and less hidden gems. In Amboseli National Park you can marvel at huge herds of elephants (with a little luck you’ll see some super tuskers) roaming the grounds in front of Mount Kilimanjaro – motives you have to capture for eternity! The last two safari-days you’ll spend searching for the Big Five in the immense Tsavo National Park, before you’ll relax on one of Africa’s most beautiful beaches of Diani Beach for four whole days. Bliss!

Itinerary
Exploring all that Africa has to offer is a dream for many. From epic Kenya safari adventures spotting Africa’s Big Five, going on a Gorilla trekking in Uganda or relaxing at Diani Beach: Africa has it all. Good news: Africa Safari Trips can build a custom made itinerary that suits all your wishes
Day 1
Arrival in Mombasa
As you step out of Moi International Airport, your personal Africa Safari Trips guide greets you with a big smile: ‘Karibu Kenya – welcome to Kenya!’ The guide takes you straight to your hotel, while you take in the first images of the vibrant city of Mombasa. The next day, the guide takes you on an exclusive, private safari that allows you to travel at your own pace. Enjoy the luxury of your private safari jeep and take the liberty to stop and watch the animals as long as you like!
Day 2
Taita Hills & Lumo Conservancy
The Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and Lumo Conservancy are two smaller parks between giants Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Park. The 110-square-kilometre sanctuary of Taita Hills belongs to the oldest mountain ranges of Africa, boasting many endemic bird species, such as the Taita thrush, and larger wildlife such as bush elephants, leopards, buffaloes, cheetahs and lions. The Lumo Conservancy is community-run and can therefore allow for night game drives – an amazing experience
Day 3
Discover Tsavo West National Park and the Mzima Springs
Tsavo West National Park is full of stars you want to get in front of your lens. From the Big Five to the big stars of the flora and fauna – you’ll meet them all when discovering the national park itself and the unique Mzima Springs.
Day 4
Amboseli’s highlights and walk on Observation Hill
Today you can not only marvel at Amboseli’s highlights from up close (we only say supertuskers, lions, and lava rocks), but also from above: Observation Hill spoils you with a 360-degree view which is truly unique in this world.
Day 5 – 6
Tsavo East National Park
With over 13,000 square kilometres, Tsavo East National Park is huge and impressive, and, since it was founded in 1948, one of Kenya’s oldest national parks. Cruise the outstretched savannah of the Yatta Plateau with its large groups of elephants and get to see an amazing amount of animals; four of the Big Five (minus rhinos) together with species like dik-diks, zebras, giraffes, yellow baboons, cheetahs, African wild dogs, elands, gazelles, gerenuks, hyenas, jackals, and over 500 species of birds.
Day 7
Drive from Tsavo to the coast for relaxation at the beach
It’s time to hit the road. Either take a nap or stay glued to the window, watching the magnificent Kenyan landscape pass by. Once on the beach, you either stay in Diani Beach or cross the water to explore the astonishing Chale Island.
Day 8 – 9
Diani Beach, or Chale Island!
Diani Beach is perfect for beach holidays – think the most outstretched and white beaches, a blue Indian Ocean and plenty of resorts and restaurants to choose from. Always dreamed of tropical islands? Then take it up a notch and stay on Chale – a tropical island just off the coast, with an amazing design hotel to pamper to all your needs.
